As an eBay Marketplace Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company's presence on eBay. This includes overseeing product listings, driving sales, managing inventory, and implementing marketing strategies to maximize performance on the eBay platform. The role requires a strategic approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Account Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and eBay, fostering strong relationships with eBay account representatives.
    • Ensure alignment of company products with eBay’s strategies and objectives.
  2. Product Listings and Content Management:

    • Create, manage, and optimize product listings on eBay to ensure accuracy, attractiveness, and compliance with eBay’s guidelines.
    • Develop compelling product titles, descriptions, and images to enhance visibility and sales.
  3. Sales and Performance Optimization:

    • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and enhance overall performance on eBay.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics such as sales, traffic, conversion rates, and return on investment (ROI).
    • Conduct regular reviews of sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  4. Inventory Management:

    • Coordinate with the inventory and supply chain teams to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment of products.
    • Monitor stock availability and manage product lifecycle from listing to sale.
  5. Marketing and Promotions:

    • Plan and execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities on eBay to boost product visibility and sales.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and deploy effective advertising and promotional materials.
  6. Customer Interaction and Service:

    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and feedback, providing exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Handle customer complaints and issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a positive seller rating.
  7. Competitive Analysis:

    • Conduct regular competitive analysis to stay informed about market trends and competitor activities on eBay.
    • Adjust strategies based on competitive insights to maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Compliance and Issue Resolution:

    • Ensure compliance with eBay’s policies, guidelines, and quality standards.
    • Address and resolve any issues related to product listings, orders, or customer feedback in a timely manner.
  9. Reporting and Analysis:

    • Generate regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis and performance reviews.
  10. Collaboration and Coordination:

    • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and logistics, to align efforts and achieve business goals.
    • Coordinate with eBay’s support and account management teams to optimize product placement and availability.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience (3-5 years) in e-commerce, online retail, or marketplace management, preferably with experience managing an eBay store.
  3. Strong understanding of eBay’s platform, policies, and best practices.
  4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  5. Proficiency in using e-commerce and analytics tools.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex issues effectively.
  10. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.
