Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in the food and beverage retail industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing weekly accounts payable (AP), payroll, bookkeeping, and monthly financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weekly Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Oversee the processing of vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate AP records.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to AP promptly.

• Payroll Management:

  • Administer weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure all payroll-related taxes and deductions are accurately calculated and reported.

• Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial data is accurate and complete.

• Monthly Reporting:

  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Ensure all financial reports comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

• Compliance and Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and legislation.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current accounting principles and practices.

• Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide financial forecasting and budgeting support.

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
• Proven experience as a CPA in the food and beverage retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members.
